MangaDCU: The Batclan 2

My return to the Batclan Shinobi after the events of "Brothers"[link] . Spotlighting Batman, Batgirl, Nightwing, and Robin.


Batclan

After the Wonderland adventure, Batman returns to Goth'Ahm prefecture with more questions than answers. He returns to an empty cave and experiences a sensation that he is all too familiar with...loneliness. He goes into the caves to meditate and is confronted by the Demon Bat. The bat tries again to get Batman to become more than his avatar, by becoming his host. Allowing the Bat unrestricted access to the world of man. He hesitates before again rejecting the offer. That night, The Shadow of the Bat begins a marathon of crime fighting in his protectorate, and as all of his subordinates are unavailable for one reason or another, he does it solo. the attacks are relentless, and slowly the fatigue begins to set in. The Demon Bat begins to fatigue as well, as the seal that binds him to the Caves of Mt Goth'Ahm drains him whenever he leaves it, & Batman has been highly reliant on him to get quickly from one crisis to the next. For three months straight, this cycle continued and when an exhausted Batman & Demon Bat arrive at the cave to take some much needed rest, they are greeted at the entrance by Bane. Bane reveals that he set those events in motion months ago all to lead up to this day. he wanted to Destroy the Legacy of the Bat and add the Demon's blood to his collection. He pumped himself full of one of his vials of Demon venom, and fought the two of them. When it became apparent that they were in trouble, the Bat again suggested they "join" and batman refused. Bane was able to get the weakened Bat in the air and snapped his back. he crashed to the ground, and Batman attacked the demon hunter. Bane began to thrash the ninja unmercifully and when he was almost at his last breath, Bane made a mistake & flung him close enough to the crippled Demon Bat that the two were able to touch. Batman agreed to the Demon's offer and their essences fused & bodies merged. The Newly risen Demon Man-Bat took the fight back to Bane and traded blows so devastating that the shockwaves were felt for miles. Bane had no recourse but to transform to one of his full demon modes, but his venom transport tube was severed by his opponent. Bane's only chance at survival was to jump off of the mountain into the waters below. Batman was about to give chase when the Batsignal went off. Able to regain his composure, he flew to the site to discover the issue. For weeks he operated in the fused form and gradually became darker and more and more violent. When his apprentices Hush, Huntress, Azrael, and Batgirl came around after their respective personal missions, he banned them from the caves as well. Once again, the Batsignal had been lit. Shutaru Koyama, the Daimyo of Goth'Ahm Prefecture was under attack. Batman took wing to the location, only to find, The entire League of Shadows taking on the Royal Guard, making an attempt at a coup. Most of the guardsmen were down except for: the captain, Jin Gaikodou, his lieutenant, Habiki Burakumin, and Raina Morioka . The bat arrived, and began tearing into the assassin guild shinobi. Komori tried to stop the carnage, but the bat now had full control...and was out of it! One by one, the banished Batlclan members arrived and tried to stop their mentor's rampage to no avail. Batgirl was able to lure the demon away from the carnage & when she was about to be struck down, her clan members Nightwing and Red Robin arrived together to save her. the three fought together for the first time in years, an were able to injure the demon. it raged, and chased them to the shinobi graveyard, where it took down the three young ninja. as it was about to strike the killing blow, an eerie light appeared and the Ghost Art Master, The Spectre appeared. he fought with the bat & revealed that it was he who initially sealed the legendary demons in the mountains of the Hidden Regions. He separated the bat from Komori and then he vanished back into the mists. the three took their master back to the prefecture for medical attention. after he was tended to , the entire Batclan returned to claim the body of the bat, only to find it missing. They returned to the caves and Batman expressed his regret at how bad things had gotten & how proud he was of each of them and their respective growth. They renewed their vision and decided to move forward united. After which, a young boy stepped out of the shadows claiming to be the Son of the Bat, and stating that they would do well enough as servants for him in his mission.

- Shutaru Koyama, the Daimyo of Goth'Ahm Prefecture is Mayor Henry Hill.
- Merging the Demon and Komori idea is taken from Naruto's Jinchurriki host for the Nine Tailed Fox.
- The next storyline is the Battle for the Cowl, where Batman disappears and it is revealed that the Mysterious Batwoman saved the demon Bat. That storyline also will have the members of the Batclan vying for leadership and attempting to assume the mantle.
- The young boy that entered the cave is the equivalent of Damien Wayne.
