Metal Men

Dr. Ashita Myounichi was a genius scientist who was a contemporary of the recently deceased Charles Magnus. To honor the departed scientist, S.T.A.R.Labs created an endowment scholarship to find and nurture the next generation's creative minds in scientific development. Scholarships were awarded to Mikron O'Jeneus (Gizmo), Hiro Okamura (Toyman), Michael Holt (Mr. Terrific), Anton Ivo, and Alexi Nikoli (Lord Havok). nightshade475.deviantart.com/a… The faculty began an audition for the final slot of the program. Magda Williams was a girl of little luck. When her dad died in the states, her mom moved to Japan to keep her job with the factory to prevent it from being outsourced. while there, she died ...leaving her child alone. Magda was extremely bright, and cracked the code on the local private school's security locks to break in every night to sleep, bathe and eat. she self educated herself with the texts there and even would perform her own experiments in the makeshift lab she created. she lived like this for two years, until one day, she accidentally fell asleep before fully concealing the way to her lab and it was discovered by the resident jocks who were looking for a place to get busy with a girl of loose morals. the girl changed her mind, when the boy she hoped to make jealous didn't bother to stop her from going with the guys. The gang of boys planned to make sure she kept her word, until Magda stepped out of the shadows. her hair was long and unkempt and she wore a boys gym uniform that was too big, so she was automatically assumed to be male. When they wouldn't listen to her demand to let the girl go since she obviously didn't want to be there any longer, one of them punched her in the stomach, dropping her to her knees. She came up with a swift strike to the groin and knocked over a table separating her and the girl from the others they ran out of the secret lab and through the hallways and the bullies gave chase. Magda stopped to give the other girl time to get out and the bullies caught up to her. they beat her and physically threw her out of the school after wrecking her lab. she self bandaged her bruised ribs and evened out her hair that one of them cut with a switchblade. The next day, she got even with them by dousing them in an unholy concoction of excrement, urine, vomit, and an agent that made it really sticky and difficult to remove. this was done in front of the entire school, and even though she felt vindicated, they spotted her. they chased her, and she knew if she was caught she'd be killed. during the chase, she slid into a display, breaking it. the faculty rushed out, and when they were yelling at the child, the bullies backed off. The search committee was just preparing to leave when Myounichi recognized the kid covered in glass and wearing baggy clothes. while the other staff members of the school were talking of calling the authorities, he began asking her science questions that she answered quickly. the difficulty of the questions increased, but she kept up with him answering just as fast as she had the first. Myounichi asked what class she was in, and was told that she did not attend the school. He expressed that she was smarter than any of the students that did. He told the others that he'd handle the situation with the kid, and took her to see his colleagues at Star labs. On the ride over, he told her that whatever happened, to follow his lead. the panel of scientists at S.T.A.R.Labs assaulted her with a battery of questions and again, she held her own. Myounichi then pulled out a small device and handed it to her. she looked at it and then him. he said nothing further and she began to study it. she opened it and walked to one of the tables in the lab they were in. she started tinkering with it adding things , rewiring others. she would occasionally ask for something and one of the awestruck faculty members would rush to get it. after about 5 hours of watching this, the kid closed the device up , pressed a button and it began to hum with energy and let off a slight glow. The facility's lead scientist, Emil Hamilton stood amazed and asked the child's name. she began to say "Williams...Mag..." and Myounichi interjected, "Magnus?! ...you're the son of Charles Magnus?!" a buzz broke out amongst the department heads as Magda stood speechless. Myounichi continued, " we all thought you had died, but only the son of Magnus would be able to finish his father's work on the one project that eluded every mind at this facility!" the buzz turned into a raucous debate on the validity of this claim, and Myounichi said he'd solve it right then and there. they all went to his lab and he performed a genetic test that proved conclusively that they were dealing with William Magnus! Magda was even more dumbfounded, and Myounichi said that he'd get the "boy" situated, as this must all be overwhelming. They went to the quarters that belonged to Charles Magnus and Myounichi began to explain: He and Magnus were partners on a number of projects, but prior to his death, Charles had taken something that rightfully belonged to him. upon his death, his lab was locked down and the object along with it. he had access to his genetic code to open the lock, but since his whole family was killed in the same accident, it would set off alarms if the genetic key was used...unless he facilitated a way for someone with the family's genetic code to "come back from the dead" so to speak. he then made Magda a proposition. allow him to regain ownership of his property when Magnus' lab was given to his "son" and in return, she could have a home where she was free to pursue her scientific endeavors free from persecution...all she had to do was continue pretending to be a boy. Her alternative was to go back to living on the streets in fear of running into the boys who were after her. She silently agreed to the deal, and she joined the enclave. Her first project was employing the use of the piece of technology she assembled, the Responsometer, and integrating it into her creatons...The Metal Men!

Gold-
Weapons: Luster cannon (2nd most powerful, but longest duration), Gold dust dispersal, limb and torso extension, 2nd highest resistance to chemical, electrical and heat based attacks.

Personality: Serious and quiet, interested in security and peaceful living. Extremely thorough, responsible, and dependable. Well-developed powers of concentration. Usually interested in supporting and promoting traditions and establishments. Well-organized and hard working, works steadily towards identified goals. Can usually accomplish any task once he has set his mind to it.

Platinum-
Weapons: Luster Cannon (Most powerful, but shortest duration), Blingshot (channels luster cannon to surface of body for blinding effect), coils, highest resistance to chemical, electrical and heat based attacks.

Personality: Quietly forceful, original, and sensitive. Tends to stick to things until they are done. Extremely intuitive about people, and concerned for their feelings. Well-developed value systems which she strictly adheres to. Well-respected for her perserverence in doing the right thing. Likely to be individualistic, rather than leading or following.


Tin-
Weapons:Luster Cannon (Least powerful, low duration), containment, rotary blades, smartest, moderate level corrosive resistance.

Personality: Quiet, reflective, and idealistic. Interested in serving humanity. Well-developed value system, which he strives to live in accordance with. Extremely loyal. Adaptable and laid-back unless a strongly-held value is threatened. Mentally quick, and able to see possibilities. Interested in understanding and helping people.


Iron-
Weapons: Spike Cannon, Chains, Hand tool and Weapon construction, second physically strongest, Ferromagnetism.

Personality: Quiet and reserved, interested in how and why things work. Excellent skills with mechanical things. Risk-taker who lives for the moment.. Uncomplicated in his desires. Loyal to peers and internal value systems, but not overly concerned with respecting laws and rules if they get in the way of getting something done. Detached and analytical, excels at finding solutions to practical problems.


Lead-
Weapons: Rapid Fire Projectiles, Radiation Shielding, physically strongest, high level corrosive resistance.

Personality: Quiet, serious, sensitive and kind. Does not like conflict, and not likely to do things which may generate conflict. Loyal and faithful. Extremely well-developed senses, and aesthetic appreciation for beauty. Not interested in leading or controlling others. Flexible and open-minded. Likely to be original and creative. Enjoy the present moment.


Copper-
Weapons: Luster Cannon( moderate power level, moderate duration), high level heat and electrical conductivity.

Personality: Sarcastic, popular and sensitive, with outstanding people skills. Externally focused, with real concern for how others think and feel. Usually dislikes being alone. sees everything from the human angle, and dislikes impersonal analysis. Very effective at managing people issues, and leading group discussions. Interested in serving others, and probably place the needs of others over her own needs.


Mercury-
Weapons: Liquid Metal morphing, edged weapon generation, heat sensor.

Personality: Arrogant, hot-headed, independent, original, analytical, and determined. Has an exceptional ability to turn theories into solid plans of action. Highly values knowledge, competence, and structure. Long-range thinker. Hasvery high standards for his performance, and the performance of others. Natural leader, but will follow if he trusts existing leaders.


-the responsometers in the robots animate the metals while giving the robots personalities similar to the properties of the metal it is linked to.
- Magda is based on Haurhi Fujioka from Ouran High School Host Club.
- Robots based on various mechs i found on the net.
- Myounichi is based on T.O. Morrow, and is Magda's faculty advisor.
- Since Magda is using Charles Magnus's lab and the funds from his estate, the final scholarship slot went to Cyborg, Victor Yurasu.
- The girl that magda saved recognizes "Will" as the one who saved her, and develops a crush on her/him.
- Platinum has a crush on "Will" as well, and doesnt like that girl...or that Magda girl that keeps coming around...
- the boys that were after Magda find out that she's a she...they disappear mysteriously soon after...
