MangaDCU: Legion of Doom-final

Doom is upon you!!!

Final version of my manga version of the Legion of Doom. The manga version of the antithesis of the Justice League. These are the final characters that were designed by original concept artist effektdmentality [link] (except for Black Manta & Zoom...they're all mineeee!)
In my version, the villians are gathered by Luthor, as a reaction to the formation of the League.

Cheetah:
since she was created using magic, genteics, and technology, i see her as a sort of cyber-werecat! she can become more animal like, but maintain the cyber-armor enhancements. shes fast, but nowhere near the level of Zoom.

Black Manta:
has a cloak that resembles the wings of a manta when he's underwater. usually discarded during battle. his Shadow weaving skill allows him to manipulate existing shadows. his relationship with his apprentice Devil Ray, is similar to the Zabuza Momochi and Haku from Naruto one. He sees his apprentice as a weapon, but eventually bonds with him.

Sinestro:
22 cycles ago, Yellow Lantern of sector 2814 Sin-Es-Tro became locked in a deadly struggle with team member Green Lantern, Abin Sur. A kryptonian solar impact shell had been fired at earth's sun. Abin was attempting to destroy the s.i.s while Sin prevented him. When Abin realized an infant was inside the s.i.s as well as the catalyst to causing the impending supernova, he tried to free the child, Sinestro the revealed his true purpose was to make sure the shell made impact. the two fought and both were injured, with damaged lightsuits. Abin Sur safely guided the baby down but with dire consequences. Sinestro found the dead lantern and took the remains of his suit and eventually acquired enough capital to found the institute that would reverse engineer and repair both suits. he left the child which was eventually found by the Kurokis.

Zoom:
Years ago, a scientist located a parallel dimension comprised of a form of energy he later called the "speed force". He and a team of others created a prototype harness for this energy in the form of a speedsuit. The project was codenamed: Mercury, as well as the suit. The pilot was an old friend of the scientist named Maximillian J. Garrick. [link] Years later, Garrick's daughter wed the son of the scientist and they had two sons; Issoku, and Rei Tanaka. Issoku would later become head scientist on the project to develop the hyper-technology and upgrade the hypersuit. a drug addiction would force him to sell the hyper tech to yakuza initiating the hyper-crimewave.

EDIT: After re-reading my notes, i can see how it gets confusing. at different points, i have max as both zoom sr. AND jr.'s grandfather! so here is the definitive answer: Shinjo Tanaka was the lead scientist on the Mercury Project. He had two sons; Issouku(Zoom Sr./Black Racer) and Rei(Flash).Issouku married Mercury prototype test pilot Max J.(Mercury)Garrick's daughter, Belle. They had a son named Nishimaru(Zoom Jr.) and after he was blasted into the future, Issouku had another son with a woman who helped rehabilitate him named Kosouku(Impulse) who travelled back in time to prevent a hypersuit related cataclsym.



Bizarro:
In his attempts to find a way to kill Superman, Lex Luthor discovers an alternate universe where a virus breaks out "I Am Legend" style. That earth's Supes transports the uninfected to the phantom Zone, while he rids the earth of the contagion by pushing the planet into the sun. he goes to the moon where the left the p-zone projector and sees that the virus has broken out there as well. he enters the zone where, he becomes infected an slaughters the remaining infected survivors. the virus becomes inert in his system due to his kryptoninan physiology, but not before it does its damage. the last people that Bizzaro takes out in the phantom zone are the infected members of the justice league. lex frees him, and uses his now limited mental capacity to manipulate him. He's a super zombie, but doesnt have the ability to infect others. After having to kill millions of infected beings, and the disease eating his mind as well, the former Superman snapped. His costume changed color as a result of his time in the Phantom Zone. He is much stronger than this worlds superman from the prolonged exposure of solar energy he got when he pushed his earth into the sun. His Dragonball Z equivallent would be Brolly. Bizarro is a name a bystander gives him, which with his dimnshed mental capacity winds up sticking.

Joker:
one of the deadliest people on the planet. uses poison flowers as a calling card. he is also severly mentally disturbed. is responsible for the creation of Two-Face, a one time friend to Komori Watanabe, from his time as a street urchin. is blamed for the demise of the Shadowwing Clan that Red Hood and Nightwing come from.

Lex Luthor:
arguably the smartest person the planet. his father scavenged some of the tech that was abandoned at the crash site of the kryptonian solar impact shell that carried Kura-Ku.
