Bio-Booster Gold- Mikoto Jin Kaeda (based on Kamen Rider Black)
Alien bio-boosting armor enhances strength, agilitiy , flexibility, and reflexes. also grants flight and energy manipulation

Mikoto Jin Kaeda was a janitor in the21st century Hero Museum that was established 50 years after the end of the war with the Dominators that was fought by the Legion of Super Soldiers. he was secretly in love with the museum's curator. he painstakingly memorized every exhibit in an attempt to have something in common with the object of his affection. on the night he planned to finally use his hard won knowledge of her favorite subject matter, she was working late. he began a conversation with her about the heroes of the past , and she was amazed at how much he knew about the exhibits. they spent the entire night talking and getting to know one another, and when the evening came to the point of being perfect, leading up to a shared kiss...a meteorite crashed through the window, crushing the curator, killing her instantly! Mikoto was similarly crushed, albeit emotionally, and tried to lift the rock off of her. when he touched it, it cracked open, spewing forth liquid gold. it encased him in what he would later discover was a bio-booster armor that was sent to help win the dominator war, which had been over for years. Mikoto thought that he could undo his recent loss by utilizing one of the exhibits which was a defunct time sled. he apprehended one of the tour drones and together, they figured out how to activate the time tech. his plan was to go back to when she was killed and save her. he grabbed her favorite blue scarf that she was wearing, took the tour drone and entered the time warp field. unfortunately he missed the mark and wound up in the era of the 21st century. the time portal was gone and he was stuck in this time...that he had intimate details about as well as a new super suit. he decided that if he was travelling thru time it wouldn't matter if he made a brief layover in the past to become one of the heroes his love so admired. Although, he would soon find out that when he tried to display a feat of heroics, history wasn't exactly as he had studied it to be!

Liberty Belle- Annabelle Garrick Tanaka (based on Rainbow Mika of Street Fighter)

Belle Garrick grew up on the compound which housed the operation Project: Mercury that her dad, Max was hired to be a part of. during the development of the project, she went on frequent adventures with her dad and the lead scientist Shinjo Tanaka and his two sons; Issouku and Rei. eventually, they grew older and she began a relationship with Issouku. they quickly married and had a son, Nishimaru, but when he took over the project as lead scientist he would begin to change. He turned to drug use to deal with the newfound stress of becoming project leader and the need to make a breakthrough on the development of the new and improved hypersuit upgrade. he gradually became more and more abusive towards Belle, and as a result was assaulted by her father, Max in retaliation. After this, Issouku moved out of the house and into the lab full time. Belle took Nishimaru and the moved to a new location. she joined a therapy group, and to help her feel empowered, they began teaching the women self-defense. eventually, this group evolved and the women started training together all the time. the therapist also had them in hypno-therapy to "help" them get over their traumatic issues. This support group eventually became a sort of Fight Club called Meta-Brawl. the Hypno-therapy unlocked hidden potential in all of the women involved. Belle used the name Liberty Belle when in the cage, and would switch from her meek demeanor to a relentless warrior when she would hear the sound of the ring bell. She, like the rest of the ladies, would not be aware of their meta brawling outside of the events thanks to the hypno-therapy, which was performed by the support group doctor, who was secretly Roulette. Belle would reveal her secret life to her family when her ex-husband showed up fresh from prison to take their son with him. his abuse triggered her programming and she used her meta-brawling skills on him to protect her son. when she went to look for the support group, she would find that they were all gone. Some of the Meta-Brawlers that were part of her support group were: Judomaster, Cyclone, Ms. America, Power Girl, Rampage, Knockout, and Blue Lama. [link] When she goes looking for them, she'll discover there was a male equivalent as well.

Witch Doctor Mid-Nite Andwele Petiri Kumasi (based on Gilgamesh from Final Fantasy series)
mystical powered shaman, communes with spirits

Nkechi Kamaria and Andwele Petiri Kumasi were born into a small African village. their mother was a Sangoma, or shaman. when they were young, their mother died trying to cure someone who had been possessed by an evil spirit. their father moved them to the city after that, where they grew up. Nkechi eventually moved back to the village to continue in her mother's footsteps as a sangoma, while Andwele studied abroad to become a medical doctor. he eventually received word that his sister had died attempting the same ritual that killed their mother. that night, Andwele was visited by his sister's spirit. she told him that he was receiving the calling to finish their mother's work. as a man of science, he didn't believe in the supernatural form of healing that his sister and mother died practicing. a strange man appeared at his sister's funeral that gave him a bad feeling. the man approached him inquiring about his sister and her practices. he heard his sister's voice in his head attempting to warn him about the strange man, but he forced himself to ignore it. the voice of his sister pleaded with him to use the gift of vision to see thru the stranger's disguise, but Andwele fought it. he was unaware that a consequence of refusing "the calling" is usually ongoing physical, spiritual, and mental illness. for resisting "the sight" , the mystic energy burst through his eyes, forcing him to see the world on the spiritual level. his physical eyes were permanently damaged by the forceful release of power. his mind was also fractured, allowing for the evil spirit (that his people referred to as, The Shadower) that killed his mother and sister to enter his body and take control. the possessed Andwele returned to the village to kill the sangoma tutor that trained his sister. the old medicine woman saw the demon for what he was, but did not have the power to defeat the evil spirit. after slaying her in a demonic ritual, he absorbed her mystical energy. he set himself up as the new village medicine man, but he practiced many dark arts and corrupted everything and everyone he came into contact with. he eventually grew bored and decided to take his "practice" to a new land. every time he set up shop in a new village, he would slay the local witch doctor, and absorb their powers. eventually, the death, and corruption would eventually draw the attention of Captain X of the Global Captains of Industry. An inter-dimensional shaman came to investigate the disturbance in the mystical field that the possessed doctor was causing, and was overpowered by him and his acquired abilities. he also took his mystical armor that the warrior mystic wore. the battle caught the attention of Captain X, they finally crossed paths and fought. Captain X used a sacred artifact to bind the conjurer. the captain would return periodically to ensure that the wards kept him bound. Unfortunately, when the Captains were imprisoned and replaced by the Global Captains of Infamy, Ndare was unable to reactivate the wards holding the possessed doctor. he realized that his opportunity had come and broke free, leaving Africa for fear of being recaptured. he set up a new practice using Andwele's medical license and eventually crossed paths with the evil doctors of The Mal-Practice. He used the moniker Witch Doctor Mid-Nite while dealing with the group. He noticed an owl one night that reminded him of one he saw in Africa, but he refused to believe the same owl followed him all the way from Africa. that night, at midnight the owl appeared again. its eyes began to emit an unearthly shine and then they were on the spiritual plane. the owl possessed the spirit of Andwele's sister, Nkechi, and she urged her brother's spirit to assist her as she dueled with the demon. he eventually accepted his lot and joined his sister granting her the power she needed to help banish the spirit from her brother's body. he realized that he had much to atone for with all that happened when his body was taken over, so he agreed to undergo the Thwasa training under his sangoma sister to become a true Witchdoctor/shaman to help those besieged by evil spirits and undo some of the damage caused by the dark one. his sister's spirit remained with his spirit guide, the owl, until his training would be complete. As a result of his power's initial onset, Andwele can only see in total darkness or when his mystical "sight" is turned on.

Captain Amazing- Markus Okoye

When Captain X's grandson, Ronald Jason Raymond takes ill in the states, the captain takes an extended leave of absence from his duties with the Captains of Industry. For his time away, he enlists the aid of fellow African hero, Amazing Man, to replace him in the CoI while he is away. while on the team, he flirts constantly with Captain Glider, who has begun to grow tired of her one sided flirtation with Captain Triumph. During his time with the team they go up against the Mal-Practice, Captain Comet gets recruited for a deep space mission by Adam Strange & his temp replacement is Captain Action, they meet an other-dimensional Captains of Industry led by Captain Carrot, and the rematch with the Captains of Infamy, who now have new member Captain Acrata.
