Darkstar Troia, Yz, Major Breach, and Dr. Light II

Darkstar Troia: Katsumi Toriyama (design based on Ame-Comi Donna Troy)
Darkstar orb infused abilities; interstellar flight, energy projection, cosmic sensory perception, enhanced strength and durability, Starsword

During the initial formation of the Teen Titans, Wondergirl Troia came into contact with an alien artifact while attempting to stop the Rise of Trigon.  She wasn’t aware of the changes that it had sparked in her, but she experienced unexplained power surges.  Troia and Wonder Woman went on a mission with Megami’s JLA team member, Green Lantern (Harinezumi Jouon) which took them on a trip to the Guardians of the Universe homeworld, Oa.  While on Oa, Katsumi makes the acquaintance of another Green Lantern named Kaio.  Kaio shares that he too has experienced similar power surges over the years, but his were due to exposure to a Darkstar Orb.  During an attempted overthrow by the robotic Manhunters, Katsumi instinctively accesses new powers...The Darkstar!   After returning to Earth Katsumi attempts to learn how to consciously access her Darkstar transformation and powers, and in the process becomes an outsider to her friends.  She notices that she is becoming more and more distant from her humanity and on the recommendation from her school physician, Dr. Sylvia Salinger; she goes in secret to visit a therapist.  She is unaware that the doctor she goes to visit is actually Dr. Light of the Mal-Practice; a group of evil supervillain doctors.  He uses his powers to hypnotize her, triggering her transformation and sending her on a rampage.  Wonder Woman and the Wonder Girls use all of their powers to try and stop her, but they also have to keeping their new members Mendozia and Orania from killing Troia in the process. After being released from Light’s trance, Troia was brought back to Oa to help uncover more about this strange power.  During her time there, John and Kaio tutor her on how to access her power. She explores a budding romance, as she shared a connection and an attraction with Kaio as they survived the Manhunter Uprising together.  When the time came for the Wondergirls and GL Hari to return to Earth, Kaio’s Lantern Squad teammate; Violet Lantern Jade requested a furlough to visit the planet where she was conceived.  Her furlough was denied, but when Kaio found out, he forged documents and lied and said they were both approved.   When they arrived on earth, Harinezumi decided to give the two a tour of their homeworld.  But Kaio had plans of his own, and set out to find Katsumi.  While together at a carnival, Katsumi and Kaio begin to see the difficulty of maintaining an intergalactic long distance relationship.  Katsumi also notices for the first time the deep connection shared by Kaio and Jade.

- I always wanted to incorporate the Ame Comi version of Donna into the MDCU, so I decided on the Darkstar phase of her history, since I identified my version as Troia from the begining.
- Dr. Salinger is also Dr. Cyber of the Mal-Practice, which is why she recommended her to her colleague, Dr. Light.  The girls will remain unaware of her dual identity until the defeat of Witchqueen Circe.
- Troia will be able to materialize a more powerful weapon then her usual sword, called the Starsword.
- Darkstar orbs usually come in pairs.  Even though they are from different timelines, the orbs that Kaio and Katsumi bonded with were a set.  This was a major part of what drew them to each other and allowed for their abilities to be fully realized.
- After being reprimanded for forging the documents that took him and Jade to Earth, Kaio was given a tour with the Spectrum Lantern Honor Guard.  During this mission, he had a confrontation with the Controllers and their enforcement agents, The Darkstars.  He was given the opportunity to resign his Lantern commission and enlist.  Although tempted, he turned down the offer.
- If the Lantern Corps are like a police force, The Darkstars are like the feds.
- At some point, Katsumi, Kaio, and John Stewart will all be drafted to join other beings that’ve bonded with Darkstar orbs, led by Colin Ferris.

Yz:
Djinn: Lightning type; ability to alter reality through granting of a wish.

In sorcery books, Djinn are classified into races after the classical elements; Ice, Lightning, Shadow, Earth, Air, Fire, and Water; and presumed to live in them.  They are collected in tribes usually seven, each with a king.  Each king controls his tribe and is controlled by an Archangel of one of The Seven Heavens of the Halo Realms.  The Angel's name is torture to the djinn king as well as his specific tribe.  The Djinn were used by angels as weapons against the demonic forces of the Hell Realms.  During the Korangar/Espylacopa conflict which resulted in the creation of the Tenshu Obake Karuta magical card deck, portals to other realms were created in the heart of the battleground and the denizens from those worlds were among those trapped within the cards.  Yz, the young prince of the Lightning Djinn, wound up in a card that eventually found its way into the possession of a young magic act stage performer named Johnny Thunder.  He researched the card and became very knowledgeable about the subject.  He discovered the power in the card and learned how to unlock the magical being inside within the game itself, but in the real world as well.  He utilized the card’s ability to grant wishes to defend against those attempting to take it from him.  He formed a friendship with the djinn, and made a vow to try to help free it from its containment.  For decades he failed at this task, while becoming an authority on the game.  When Johnny (now much older) sees the development to the TOK arenas and tournament, he observes that there have been sightings of cards that were part of the deck that now roam freely.  He joins the League to try to discover the secret that has eluded him for all these years to help him keep his promise and finally grant the djinn his only wish.

The Djinn that are trapped in the TOK deck are:
Yz- The Lightning Djinn (say you)
Lkz- The Ice Djinn (so cool)
Yfrt- The Fire Djinn (tear fee)
Qwsp- The Water Djinn (pass wick)
Btmyt- The Shadow Djinn (time tub)
Xlhc- The Earth Djinn (chillax)
Bdlhm- The Air Djinn (mall dub)

- In Islamic mythology, Djinn were created alongside humans and angels.
- The Djinn reside in a realm parallel to the Fifth Circle of Hell.
- According to legend, fire djinn are known as Ifrit, and water djinn are Marid.
- following the rules established for Johnny Thunder's Thunderbolt, I made the use of the djinn's name backwards as the magic words to summon and control it…or banish it.
- Yfrt is Ifrit (formerly Mindboggler, revived with the Digital Djinn program) on the DCU supervillain team, Jihad aka Onslaught.
- Xlhc is Scirrocco from the DCU super villain team, The Hybrid.
- Btmyt is the 5th dimensional imp, Bat-Mite.  Foe of Batman.
- Qwsp is the 5th dimensional imp, Qwsp.  Foe of Aquaman.
- Bdlhm is Bedlam (Matthew Stuart).  Foe of Young Justice.

Major Breach: Major Tim Zanetti
Transdimensional energy altered body placed in a containment suit; warp portal creation, energy projection, flight, enhanced strength.

A United States government military experiment and initiative masterminded by Col. Wade Eiling and lead scientist Dr. Heinrich Megala, was housed in a secret facility attempting to unlock the secrets of a device of unknown origin.  Their attempts led to the generation of an interdimensional rift that an alien craft careened through.  When the alien spacecraft crashed through the rift, Major Tim Zanetti was exposed to the transdimensional portal energies fundamentally altering his body to that comprised of these same energies.   Major Zanetti’s body was placed in a containment suit, but his mind remained inert.  The project recovered the starship which belonged to a race of transdimensional creatures they would call, Rifters. The Rifters were creatures from the far side of the dimensional rift that the ship travelled through.  After interrogating the pilot as best they could before he expired from the wounds he received due to the crash, the military decided that the best way to prevent the coming invasion would be to send the alien craft back through the rift…armed with an explosive to take out whatever was on the other side of the Breach.  This mission led to the creation of Project: Atom and the eventual member of the Global Captains of Industry; Captain Atom.  Years later, an attempt was made to duplicate the circumstances that led to the creation of Captain Atom, resulting in the creation of Major Force; who became a founding member of Silent Majority and subsequently went rouge, and  Bombshell; a member of the Teen Titans before betraying them as a member of the Terror Titans.   Some time after these incidents another rift was created on the other side of the world and its appearance triggered the awakening of Major Zanetti.  He discovered he had special abilities as a result of his exposure, and wanted to use them to help stop the coming invasion that was staved off years prior.  Replacing Major Force in the Silent Majority as Major Breach, he is the new representative of North America.

When Major Breach joins the Majors, he will be joined by:
Major Iron: Europe; Bionic Battle hand (Iron Major, The Fourth Reich)
Major Shockwave: Antarctica; seismic energy projector (Arnold Pruet, The 1000)
Major Flashback: Australia; Time Tangler (Justice Experience)
Major Artery: South America; Marōn, Queen of Blood; Hellrealm card (I, Vampire)
Major Change: Asia; Indian Shapeshifter (Aruna Shende)
Major Flint: Africa; Mindwiped former Sword of Lemuria candidate, Earth Element induced strength and durability (Victoria Ngengi, Stormwatch)

- Breach is based on an established DC character that was created during an attempt to reboot Captain Atom.  For this reason I decided to link the characters to the same origin event.
- Tim Zanetti was already established as a major in the mainstream continuity, so it made sense to add him to The Silent Majority, rather than the Global Captains of Industry.
- I made minor changes to the design.
- I altered his abilities to differentiate him from Captain Atom and made his powers based on the warp gate that brought the invading alien “Breachers” to their world.

Dr. Light II: Kimiko Hoshi (design based on Talho Yuhi from Eureka Seven)
Light generating and manipulating armor and gauntlets

Edward Lytener, a research assistant at Light Tech convinced his brother, Arthur to go to his lab and remove an invention; a light harness that he had helped to develop while working at the facility. Arthur did so, but saw vast potential in the technology.  Bringing it to a fellow ne'er do well, they were able to develop Edward's harness into a suit of light wielding armor. The lead scientist on the light harness project was, Dr. Kimiko Hoshi.  When she discovered what Lytener had done with her technology, she was both appalled and amazed.  She set out to reclaim what she had created and decided to utilize it to undo some of the horror done by those who had stolen it.  She chose to utilize the name Dr. Light in attempts to redeem that as well.

- With the suit, Dr. Hoshi can bend the light around her to become invisible, generate blasts of energy, create force fields, and fly. By mentally repulsing photons, Light can create areas of complete darkness. She can "power up" her suit's storage cells by draining the ambient light in the area. Dr. Light can also hypnotize targets. She uses flashing light to alter the brainwave frequency of the subject. This process is said to induce deep states of relaxation, concentration, and in some cases altered states of consciousness.
- Of course, Edward Lytener will develop his own suit based on the light harness and become Luminous.
- As a project head at Light Tech, Kimiko is acquainted with Harinezumi Jouon, but to say they are friends is a stretch.
- I decided to give her a lab coat instead of a cape to play up the doctor angle, but still get that flow of movement.
- She will have her iconic crown present as part of her energy armor. Her energy signature is blue hued, in contrast to Arthur Light’s Yellow.
