the future of Batman's protege's! i used Naruto and Sasuke as inspiration for my manga conversion for these two, but i kinda wanted to make them a little more recognizable as Robin and Nightwing. Nightwing was the first to come to Batman to request to be his apprentice. after his clan was extinquished, he was taken under the protective wing of the League of Shadows, without having to be an operative. he sought Batman, since he was aware that his older brother had once trained with him. After rejecting him, and the royal guard's captain to train his daughter, Batman's identity was discoverd by an orphaned street urchin who reminded him of his days on the street and convinced him to take on all three on as trainees. after failing to get along, batman banished robin and nightwing until they could learn to work together and be better teamates. they learned this with their time with the Teen Titans...


Robin

After escaping from Arkham Island, the Red Hood reveals that he is a member of a clandestine organization known as The Red Hand. They have their own agenda that they push either as benefactors(The Red Palm) or sanctioners (The Red Fist). It is revealed that when Joker kidnapped Redwing, it was in relation to this organizations goals. Joker bartered his release from the group by offering them Redwing as his replacement. It was the Red Hand that eradicated the Shadow Wing Clan after jotaro’s capture. He reveals that he wished freedom from the group and his choice of replacement was Nightwing. Knowing that Nightwing would be forced to compromise everything that his clan stood for, and being the last remaining member capable of restoring their honor, Robin volunteers to take his place with the Red Hand. Batman and Nightwing are against the idea, but robin leaves his staff with Daisuke and takes his escrima sticks telling him he’ll return them to him when he returns. Upon meeting the group, Robin finds out that each member is referred to as one of the 5 fingers of death or life depending on the current focus of the group. The members are: Red Claw, Red Talon, Red Dart, and Red X. During his time with tem, Tomi is reffered to as Red Robin. Red Talon is the replacement for Red Canary, currently known as Lady Blackhawk.



Nightwing

Nightwing is extremely despondent about robin’s sacrifice as well as all of the revelations about his brother and their clan, and at batman’s insistence, joins him on a World’s Finest mission with Superman. After the mission is completed, Superman reveals to Nightwing that he too is an orphan and the last of his kind. He also has a dark legacy of his peoples that he is trying to make right. He also tells him that he knows nightwing no longer sees honor in being a shinobi, but if batman, who was trained to be a samurai and found honor in being a ninja, maybe as a ninja, Nightwing may find honor in being a samurai. The words strike a heavy chord. Inspired, Nightwing decides to take a leave from his duties in the Batclan. Komori allows Takaharu to take Daisuke to train with a secret samurai sect that operates out of a monestary called Bloodhaven. He takes the staff that was left by robin. Robin and Nightwing return to gotham around the same time, much different than when they left. When they re-meet, Red Robin is on a mission for the Red Hand.

-Joker was referred to as Red Jester when a member of the Red Hand.
-Red Claw is the group's current leader. she looks exactly the same as the version from B:TAS.
-The naruto counterpart for the Red Hand is closest to Akatsuki.

-Nightwing's new outfit is a combo of Dick Greyson's first outfit as nightwing and Sasuke's 1st shippuden outfit.
-Robin's new outfit is more reminiscent of his classic look, with the konoha inspired vest and some of naruto's sage look with the long sleeves under the short.
- the green parts in robin's costume are grey when he is a member of the red hand.
- i simulated the naruto timeskip, except switched it that the naruto-like character went of with the bad guys and the sasuke-like one trained to help free his friend.
